Elli + Dori — March 23, 2014
A gorgeous day in paradise for a wedding on the beach at ‘Tween Waters Inn Resort on Captiva Island.
Even battling a cold Dori was calm and collected as she had her hair and makeup done prior to her first look with Elli. One of my favorite expressive photos of all time is the one of Dori and her mom as she finishes putting on her wedding dress and the finishing touches. She was ready.
Dori met Elli on the dock just outside their suite. Elli patiently waiting for his bride. She gave him little peeks of her bracelet and took her time chatting with him before letting him turn around and see her for the first time in her wedding dress. And in true “wife to be” fashion — Dori straightens Elli’s tie. Perfect.
Elli + Dori had a traditional Ketubah signing surrounded by their family, with special remembrance for those that couldn’t be there with them on this special day. For them, this is where the marriage ceremony began. The Ketubah was beautifully crafted in Israel especially for them as a keepsake of the promise made on this day.
After the signing, family and guests made their way to the perfect beach setting to witness the rest of their wedding ceremony. Dori was glowing as she made her way down the aisle to her groom. Their sense of humor and love for each other was evident and radiated from them. Laughter is always a good thing in a marriage and they started theirs with much laughter and love.
The patio of the Captiva House and dining room welcomed their guests for dinner and dancing with the Paul Vesco Band. They did a great job of getting everyone up and moving. Although with this group, it didn’t take much coaxing 🙂
Dessert? His and hers cakes. Hers – had the coolest cake topper ever.
Wishing you both a lifetime of love and happiness. Thank you for allowing Felicity and I to capture your special day.

Amazing wedding photos, what type of ketubah did you you have?
Hi Stephanie. Thank you for the kind words. Dori custom ordered the ketubah from Israel. It was beautiful.
The Ketubah was made by Ruth Mergi http://www.ruthmergi.com
The Ketubah they ordered is the CIRCLES ketubah found at http://www.ruthmergi.com
